1. I am selling my vehicle. Can I just take my viper cell off and move it to my new
vehicle?
Absolutely. As long as it is the correct size Viper Cell for your new vehicle's engine.
2. How does this device work?
The device works by increasing the Reid Vapor Pressure (RVP). RVP is a common measure of the
volatility of gasoline. Our device breaks down fuel molecules into even smaller particles just
enough to increase the surface area to improve the efficiency of combustion.
3. How difficult is it to install this device?
In most cases the device can easily installed in just a few minutes. Go to the Install tab to watch a
video of a typical install to see how easy it is.
4. How long does it take to assemble and install?
It should only take a qualified mechanic minutes to assemble and install at the fuel rail (high
pressure side) or the engine side of the fuel filter.
5. Does it matter where you install it?
Our studies have shown no difference between installing at the fuel rail (high pressure side) or
engine side of fuel filter.
6. What should I expect to pay for an install?
The device should be installed by a qualified and licensed mechanic. We recommend an ASE
mechanic. Because the simplicity of our design it takes only minutes to install. We suggest 20 or
30 dollars tops. Talk about this with your mechanic before you agree to the work. If you are
being told that it's going to take 50 dollars or more, find someone else.
7. How long should it take before I see results?
In most cases you will notice performance results instantly. MPG increases will follow shortly
thereafter. Depending on how your vehicles ECU (computer) is designed it may take a few fill ups
for the results to show. For the best comparison do not alter driving habits. ie., city vs highway,
pulling a load vs. not pulling a load, running AC vs. not running AC, etc. If you are transitioning
seasons (summer to fall, or spring to summer) most counties around big cities use a summer or
winter blend of gas that will affect your mpg outcomes. So when you make comparisons you may
need to compare the same results from same time fame of the previous year. (ie., May 2011 vs
May 2010)
8. Why should a certified licensed mechanic assemble and install such a simple device?
Since installing the device deals with gasoline and a pressured fuel line it is best, for safety
reasons, to let a qualified mechanic do the install.
9. How much savings should I expect?
Savings will depend on several factors such as driving conditions, driving habits, vehicle
condition, etc. That is why we don't guarantee individual results; however, efficiency in the
combustion chamber will result in savings not only at the pump, but also in the repair shop.
10. Will this device prolong the life of my engine and engine oil?
Our findings suggest that while engine life may be extended, but we have no evidence to suggest
that engine oil life is extended. We suggest you follow your mechanic's recommendations for
changing your oil at regular intervals.
11. How fast should I expect a return on my investment?
This typically takes less than 1 year, as opposed to other green technologies that can take up to five
years.
12. My work vehicle sits in idle a lot. How will that affect my MPG?
Idling is tough on MPG. If you did a lot of idling (like a police car) before and after the install you
should still see a significant change in your MPG because of the cleaner more efficient burn in the
combustion chamber. Any improvement over paying retail is better than paying retail.
13. Are there any engine codes associated with this device?
No, we have never had a single engine code or diagnostic code associated with your device. If you
get one its because of problem not associated with us. Any vehicle can "pop" a code for various
reasons, but it will not be because of our device. After close to a million miles of road testing we
have not had any mechanical problems associated with our device. The same amount of gas flows
through our device to your engine as did before our device was installed. The Viper Cell simply
helps improve the efficiency of the combustion with the appropriate amount of gas needed for
your engine.
.
14. I was in an accident and need a replacement. The viper cell is fine but the hose and
fittings were damaged. Can I just but the applicable install kit and not the entire thing?
You can purchase a new install kit without having to replace the entire cell.
